Cable Grips
Cable Grips secure cables to control cabinets or junction boxes – providing strain relief and protection from the elements. They are made of metal (nickel plated brass) or plastic (nylon). Advantages exist for both types of cable grip with the nylon versions becoming more popular since they can provide the same level of protection against dust, debris and water as the metallic versions – for less cost and weight. Cable Grips are specified first by the cable diameter and second by thread type.

DIN Rail
(7)We offer a complete line of slotted or solid DIN Rail – 35mm x 15mm, 35mm x 7.5mm) in 1 or 2 meter lengths. DIN Rail mounts in a variety of enclosures and junction boxes. DIN Rail saves space since it organizes terminals in a set pattern. DIN Rail saves time since many other control components can be mounted on the same rail – no components are direct mounted – ultimately saving our customers money. Our DIN Rail is made of Steel and zinc plated finish, which is the Industry Standard and also RoHS compliant. As always, our rails are not marked with a company name and are CE approved.

Din Rail Mounted Contactors
DIN rail mounted contactors are an essential component in modern electrical systems, providing reliable control (and protection in some cases) for various applications. At American Electrical, Inc.(AEI), we offer a comprehensive range of DIN rail mounted contactors, by CBI, that cater to diverse needs in industrial and commercial settings. Here’s a closer look at the benefits and features of these versatile devices.

Din Rail Mounted Fuse Holders
(26)Applications requiring circuit protection are often specified with fuses instead of circuit breakers. AEI offers fuse holders capable of protecting circuits utilizing the four main styles of fuses:
• 5x20mm and 5x25mm
• 11/4"x1/4"
• 11/2"x13/32"
• 2"x1/2"(14x51mm)
All of the above are available in standard fuse blocks or with “fuse blown” indication 24VDC and 110VAC circuits.

Din Rail Mounted Terminal Blocks
American Electrical offers the Klemsan line terminal blocks – saving time, space, and money. The terminal blocks are DIN Rail mountable and can be installed into various configurations quickly. Klemsan has over 50 years of terminal block history with all international approvals. American Electrical and Klemsan partnered in 2002 to be the first supplier of Klemsan Terminal Blocks in the United States. DIN rail mounted terminal blocks are used worldwide. Our terminal blocks are used in any machine or process control interface application. Check out the video here

Disconnect Switches
A disconnect switch provides a means to safely cut power during maintenance or emergencies. It helps meet OSHA, NEC, and UL safety standards, while also protecting personnel and equipment. For field technicians and electricians, having a clearly visible and easily accessible disconnect is peace of mind—knowing they can isolate power at the source before opening an enclosure or working on a control circuit.

(4)A 6mm thin DIN Rail mounted relay? A 6mm, space saving package with 4 different coil voltages – 12 and 24 VDC and 120 and 230 VAC. It also comes with a set of normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts that can carry up to 6A. Besides being so thin, this relay can be interchanged without having to remove the wiring – simply actuate the black lever and out comes the relay – so easy to change, if needed.

Junction Boxes
(4)American Electrical, Inc., (AEI) has 5, 10 ,15 and 20 position terminal blocks pre-engineered into a small junction box. Think of all the possibilities and time savings by buying this off the shelf – and, it’s only ONE part number. The boxes come with 2 – M20 cable grips and locknuts to make your design waterproof and dustproof up to IP 68. What better way to add on a circuit, build prototypes, isolate circuits and more. The 5, 10 and 15 position versions are rated at 35 amps per circuit and the 20 position at 24 amps. They all come with a cover that has four spring loaded screws that require a 90 degree turn making removal very easy. The terminals are top entry tension clamp terminals that open when a screwdriver is depressed in the rectangular opening – the conductors are inserted into the round opening. Releasing wires works the same way.
See how easy it is to use the Junction Boxes in this video.

(6)American Electrical, Inc. (AEI) offers two versions of DIN Rail mounted thermocouple terminal blocks – Type J and Type K. The unique feature of the block is that a multimeter can be plugged into the top of the device, allowing the technician to read the process temperature directly (or inject an analog signal) while not having to remove the thermocouple connections!

Wire Ferrules
Wire ferrules are used to terminate stranded wires and are mainly used with European-style terminal blocks and other IEC control components. American Electrical has the widest selection in North America. Our ferrules are also made for twin wire, on reels, in strips, for extra long applications and for wires with thick insulation. We cover sizes from 26 AWG to 500MCM.
